Ambar Kelly model every RiserSafe® project using its own software “tools” developed by Tekla Structures, the most advanced structural BIM software which, lets you create, combine, manage and share multi-material 3D models packed with valuable construction information. We import, or where necessary create from drawings, the structural model from the latest information into which we model RiserSafe® units into the penetrations through the floor slabs.

We use the architectural information to overlay the fire strategy in order to determine which floors may require fire stopping and then bring in the trade contractors pipework, ductwork and electrical services in IFC format to create accurate penetrations through the RiserSafe® units so that when it comes to M&E install the hard work has already been done off site, it’s simply the case of removing them temp lid over the tailored M&E service hole and then install the service.

Our RiserSafe® model is incorporated into the buildings federated model for construction and in our factory the model is sent directly to our CNC fibre laser and plasma cutting machines so that you can be sure that what you see on the model is what you get on-site. We also provide our Clients with RiserSafe® models on Trimble Connect which allows easy collaboration between the office and the field.

Tekla Structures

With Tekla Structures, you can create accurate, information-rich 3D models that have all the structural data you need to build and maintain any type of structure. Tekla models can deliver LOD 500-the highest level of development possible-making them truly constructible. High LOD, as-built models minimize costly surprises, RFI’s (requests for information) and result for more profitable projects.

You can also import, export, and link your data with other software solutions, digital construction tools, and fabrication machinery for smoother workflows. What’s more, the as-built models cut back on costly surprises and requests for information (RFIs), making your projects more profitable.
