AMBAR KELLY WELCOMES BACK MICHAL DABKOWSKI AS ITS PRODUCTION MANAGER

Ambar Kelly is delighted to announce the return of Michal Dabkowski to Ambar Kelly, taking on the role of Production Manager. With a remarkable background in the company and a wealth of experience in the construction industry, Michal brings invaluable expertise and a passion for innovation to the team. Having initially joined Ambar Kelly in 2017 as a Principal Worker, Michal played a pivotal role in supporting the Production Manager and overseeing the entire production process, from raw materials to the finished product. His dedication and proficiency led him to become the ideal candidate for the Production Manager position. Here, Michal shares his insights into his new role.

Can you tell us your background?

I initially joined Ambar Kelly in 2017 as a Principal Welder where I supported the Production Manager with manufacturing operations. I was responsible for overseeing the production process and ensuring that the products met all relevant requirements. Having gained this knowledge and skillset, I was ready to take the next step to become a Production Manager.

Why did you want to rejoin Ambar Kelly as Production Manager?

I was excited to rejoin Ambar Kelly because of my knowledge of the business. Intimately understanding the products, their benefits and how they work made me the ideal person to manage their production.

The opportunity to become Production Manager is also an exciting next step for my career, as I will be able to work with a wider spectrum of products from a design perspective. Refining my knowledge of the building services and how they interact with our products will help me to further develop my problem-solving abilities. Achieving this level of technical competence will not only improve what I can build and how I can build, but how I can support the 3D Modelling team on projects too.

What will you be doing in your new role as Production Manager?

In addition to my previous duties, I’m now responsible for training the team members involved in production and ensuring they are following the correct protocols and health and safety guidelines at all times. I also have more managerial and administrative responsibilities, with the objective of ensuring the production process is compliant with standards, managed efficiently and to schedule.

What makes you excited to return to Ambar Kelly?

Ambar Kelly is a very innovative company that produces a product that saves lives, and I’m excited to be a part of that. As well as this, it’s a great company to work at with a collaborative and dynamic environment. Since I’ve already worked at Ambar Kelly, my team is aware of my abilities and interests, which enhances our working relationships and motivates me to continually improve.

What are you most looking forward to as a Production Manager?

From a design perspective, I’m really looking forward to understanding the products in more detail and developing my skills in this area. Secondly, I’m excited to share my knowledge while training and supporting the production team.

What do you enjoy most about working in the construction industry?

I’m passionate about the industry, and having worked previously as a builder, I’ve experienced construction from different angles. Having worked in different roles, I would say that something I have consistently enjoyed about construction is implementing new technologies to overcome real-world challenges we face when building.

What does the future look like for Ambar Kelly, and how do you see yourself contributing to this?

Ambar Kelly produces an innovative, safety-focused flexible product which presents a solution to a widespread problem within the construction industry. We manufacture an important and much-needed unique modular riser flooring system, so I have no doubt the company will continue to thrive as the industry learns more about riser shaft construction safety. I care about the company’s mission and I’m passionate about creating solutions to challenges and sharing knowledge with others which will contribute to my new role as Production Manager.

I would like to thank Alex for inviting me back to Ambar Kelly. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to contribute my skills to this excellent team. I’m happy to be working with the team again, and I want everyone to know that if they need any support, I’m more than happy to help – and I’m looking forward to solving problems and creating new ideas together!
